Good Neighbor PolicyDonate

“[T]he policy of the good neighbor--the neighbor who resolutely respects himself and, because he does so, respects the rights of others." – F.D. Roosevelt

The Grand Central Neighborhood is committed to building and maintaining good relationships with all of its neighbors- local business improvement districts, building owners, small businesses, and residents alike—taking into account their perspectives and addressing their concerns.

Our Community Meetings…

Allow us to invite all interested members of Midtown’s business and residential community to our Mainchance Drop-in Center on a monthly basis. Here they can discuss the role of Grand Central Neighborhood Social Services in our community at large, opening new lines of communication with our neighbors.  These monthly meetings, which are supplemented by community surveys, also provide a forum to resolve potential conflicts and achieve mutually beneficial agreements with our neighbors.

Additionally, GCNSSC continues to meet with various neighborhood groups and associations— including the Grand Central Partnership, the Bryant Park Corporation, and the United Nations Development Corporation—to present and discuss issues and concerns identified in connection with our mission statement.

We look forward to receiving public input from groups and community members. Further, our staff attends local Community Council and Community Board meetings using these forums to introduce ourselves to our neighbors and to keep abreast of the wider concerns of our community.

Our Community Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 6:30 pm.
The Mainchance Drop-In Center is located at 120 E 32nd St. (between Lexington and Park Avenues).
All are welcome to attend!
